The homeowner reached out looking to update her master bathroom into something more practical and relaxing. She no longer wanted a makeup desk and chair setup that took up valuable space, and she disliked cleaning shower doors. Her goal was to replace the old layout with a spacious walk-in shower, two tall vanities for more storage, and a clean, easy-to-maintain design.

Our Process

This remodel began with a complete demolition, removing the old shower, toilet, vanity, flooring, and bulkhead above the vanity. Once the space was opened up, our team rebuilt it from the ground up using high-quality materials and finishes designed to last.

The new shower features Mariner “Petrified Wood” porcelain tile from Conestoga Tile Distribution, a natural matte finish that creates a warm, wood-grain look throughout the space. We installed a Better Bench corner seat, custom-built and tiled in for seamless integration, along with a recessed wall niche for storage. The shower floor features hexagon mosaic tiles for a textured, slip-resistant surface, grouted with Bostik TruColor Misty Gray for a smooth, consistent finish.

The vanities were upgraded with Bertch Riverside Birch cabinetry in a Driftwood stain and semi-gloss lacquer finish. These custom cabinets feature dovetail drawer boxes and plywood box construction for durability. The CounterTek Natural White countertop with an integrated wave bowl adds a bright, modern touch, complemented by brushed nickel fixtures from the American Standard Studio S line. Two Bertch medicine cabinets with crown moulding complete the vanity area, offering both style and practicality.

For lighting and comfort, we installed two flush mount LED ceiling lights and a Panasonic Whisper bath fan/light combo for efficient ventilation. Fresh drywall, primer, and paint tied the entire space together with a clean, finished look.
